Rose Compassion –Â Climbing Rose
A superb, repeat-flowering climbing hybrid tea rose with large flowers and a rich scent, Rosa Compassion is a medium-sized to large, vigorous, deciduous climbing rose with a very upright habit and rather stiff stems, particularly good as a pillar rose. The foliage is a good, glossy, deep green on red young stems, a beautiful foil for the flowers. These are borne reliably and profusely from June to August, and are fully double, a lovely, coppery-apricot-pink, with a strong, delicious scent. Deadhead to prolong flowering, and, if growing on a wall, fan out and tie in shoots when young, as they become inflexible later. Healthy and reliable, climbing rose Compassion holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.Â
