Raspberry Glen Ample
A mid-season variety of Summer-fruiting raspberry, Raspberry Glen Ample is a newer variety bred at the Scottish Crop Research Institute. The berries are very large, sweet, fleshy and light red, with an excellent flavour; delicious fresh, but also particularly recommended for freezing. A very heavy cropper, it produces over a long period, often over a month. Upright habit, making it a good choice for smaller gardens. Its spine-free canes make picking easier. Resistant to the main aphid virus vectors. Needs good soil and a warm position – less reliable in colder areas. Holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
