Texas red oak
Occasionally referred to as Quercus rubra var. texana, this medium growing tree is endemic to the southern great plains of Texas and Oklahoma. It grows well on dry, infertile soil. Highly praised for its shade-casting canopy and beautiful winter silhouette.
