Sea Buckthorn Askola (Female)
A compact, German-developed female cultivar of the sea buckthorn, Hippophae rhamnoides ‘Askola’ is a fast-growing, deciduous shrub with silvery, willow-like leaves, particularly suitable for coastal sites or stabilising dunes. They are rich in Vitamins C & E, antioxidants and omega 3 oils, and are used for a tasty, highly nutritious juice. Needs a male pollinator – we supply ‘Pollmix’. Important food source for wild birds.
