Smoke Bush Flamissimo
A smoke bush cultivar more compact, and with more vivid autumn colour, than Cotinus Flame, Cotinus coggygria Flamissimo is a large, fast-growing, deciduous shrub with a well-branched, rounded habit. The rounded leaves are deep green flushed with purple, then in autumn turn brilliant red and orange. In June and July, profuse smoke-like panicles of rich maroon flowers are borne on the shrub; these persist into autumn. Smoke bush Flamissimo is an easy-to-grow shrub, which can be cut back quite hard if it outgrows its space.
