Twisted Hazel Red Majestic
A large, deciduous shrub or small tree, Corylus avellana Red Majestic is a form of the Corkscrew Hazel, with the same twisted branches, but with amazing rich, purple-red foliage. Long, purple-tinged catkins and later on, nut cases with the same purple tinge, these nuts are edible. A superb slow-growing shrub to enjoy in a mixed bed, or as a specimen.
